Malachite is an opaque green stone, famous for its concentric patterns (known as "peacock's eye"). It is highly valued in lithotherapy, primarily for its protective and healing qualities.
Here are its main attributed virtues:
🛡️ Energetic and Emotional Virtues (Protection and Heart)
Powerful Protection: It is a very effective protective stone. It is renowned for absorbing negative energies and pollutants, including electromagnetic waves.
Transformation and Change: It encourages risk-taking and change. It helps break old patterns, release inhibitions, and move towards new horizons.
Emotional Balance: Associated with the Heart Chakra, it helps release emotional blockages and past traumas. It stabilizes moods, soothes anxiety, stress, and grief.
Confidence and Clarity: It strengthens self-confidence and the ability to express oneself clearly and with conviction, facilitating social relationships.
Spiritual Development: It stimulates intuition and creativity, and is considered an excellent stone for meditation.
⚕️ Physical Virtues (according to lithotherapy)
Pain Relief: It is considered an anti-inflammatory stone and is widely used to relieve muscle and joint pain (rheumatism, arthritis, osteoarthritis) and cramps. It is often applied directly to the painful area.
Women's Pains: It is traditionally nicknamed the "midwives' stone" and is reputed to soothe menstrual pain and facilitate childbirth.
Immune System: It is believed to strengthen the immune system and aid in liver detoxification.
⚠️ Important Note: Malachite is a copper carbonate. In its raw form, it can be slightly toxic if crumbled and inhaled, as it releases dust. It is strongly recommended to use polished Malachite (tumbled stones, jewelry) and to wash hands after handling raw Malachite. It should also be avoided from being placed directly in water to make elixirs.
